Finding installed Products – Windows Powershell

To find an installed product with Powershell, you can use the Get-WMIObject cmdlet. I can never remember how to make the -filter portion of this cmdlet work… on the bright side, it’s powershell, so we can just pipe it into a where-object cmdlet. See Below:

get-wmiobject -class Win32_Product | Where-object {$ -like "*office*"}

Boom, this returns all products with “Office” in their name. There’s your quick, and dirty tech tip for today.
