New PCs on a Stick

This week I’ve seen three new PC’s on a stick announced. Two by larger manufacturers that will sell to the US, and one by a mostly unknown entity that has a new twist (storage).

The three computers are all designed similarly to the Intel Compute Stick.  All three of the sticks will be Windows computers, with no immediate Linux plans. There’s not a ton of differences between the computers, but there is enough difference that you may want to weigh which may be the best for you:

Archos PC stick:

Release Price: $99

Processor: Intel Atom Z3735F

RAM: 2gb

Storage: 32gb

Other Notable attributes: Full size USB port, HDMI Connector, MicroSD slot, Wifi, Bluetooth, and will ship with Windows 10,

Lenovo IdeaCentre Stick 300:

Release Price: $129

Processor: Intel Atom Z3735F

RAM: 2gb

Storage: 32gb

Other Notable attributes: full size USB port, HDMI Connector, MicroSD slot, Wifi, Bluetooth, and will ship with Windows 8.1 w/bing,

Mouse Computer MS-NH1:

Release Price: $322

Processor: Intel Atom Z3735F

RAM: 2gb

Storage: 64gb

Other Notable attributes: full size USB port, HDMI Connector, MicroSD slot, Wifi, Bluetooth, and will ship with Windows 8.1 pro.

As you can see the Mouse Computer will have the best specs, but at that price, you’re probably better off buying an SD card and plopping it into the Asus or Archos PC. The differences between those two pretty much comes down to OS, price, and brand.
