Today has been a day of distro-hopping! I’ve landed on Debian (the testing branch) for now, departing from Ubuntu Gnome, and stopping at Fedora for a moment. Anyway, I bumped into an issue when installing the x86 version of openjdk-7-jre. I was getting the error “Unable to locate package openjdk-7-jre” though I could install the x64 version with “sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre” anywho, to solve the problem, I ran the following:
sudo dpkg –add-architecture i386
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre:i386
Baddaboom, happy sudoing!
